Standing Committees

Your skills and experience are vital to the success of our organization! Please consider participating in one of the following committees. Chairpersons of Committees also serve as voting members of the MLA Board.

Conference & Continuing Education Committee 

Plans and operates the annual conference and other association activities.

Communications

Oversees ongoing communications between the association, affiliated stakeholders, and the public as a whole. Responsible for the website as well as the MLA to Z newsletter. 

Finance & Budget

Manages and oversees the annual budget and ensures the association is up-to-date on best practices for budget management. 

Membership

Engages with current members and works to recruit new members. 

Scholarship Committee

Grants and administers the association's scholarship program for students enrolled in a library science program and awards scholarships for professional development activities.
